Affected Configurations

The system is configured with one or more of the following Lenovo Options:

  • 4XH7A85898, ThinkSystem SR665 V3 Rear 2x7mm SATA/NVMe Enablement Kit
  • 4XH7A86765, ThinkSystem SR645 V3 Rear 2x7mm SATA/NVMe RAID Enablement Kit

The system may be any of the following Lenovo servers:

  • ThinkSystem, SR630 V3, Machine Type 7D72
  • ThinkSystem, SR630 V3, Machine Type 7D73
  • ThinkSystem, SR630 V3, Machine Type 7D74
  • ThinkSystem, SR635 V3, Machine Type 7D9G
  • ThinkSystem, SR635 V3, Machine Type 7D9H
  • ThinkSystem, SR645 V3, Machine Type 7D9C
  • ThinkSystem, SR645 V3, Machine Type 7D9D
  • ThinkSystem, SR650 V3, Machine Type 7D75
  • ThinkSystem, SR650 V3, Machine Type 7D76
  • ThinkSystem, SR650 V3, Machine Type 7D77
  • ThinkSystem, SR655 V3, Machine Type 7D9E

Symptoms

Redfish may fail to get all the volume information from 7MM and M.2 drives, even though the same volume information is available through the XCC web, CLI or SNMP interface.

For example the command:

GET    https://<BMC_IP>/redfish/v1/Systems/1/Storage/7MM/Volumes or https://<BMC_IP>/redfish/v1/Systems/1/Storage/M.2/Volumes

May have this in the response body:

}

Fix

This behavior will be corrected in a future release of XCC firmware.

The target date for this release is scheduled for Second Quarter 2023.

The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on the Lenovo Support web page, at the following URL:

https://datacentersupport.lenovo.com/

Workaround

Restart the XCC.

This issue is caused by the Redfish interface mistakenly handling 7MM and M.2 Volume information.
