How to find compatible replacement parts on the Product Home page
Description
This article describes the procedure used to find compatible replacement parts for your product using the Parts section on the Product Home page.
Solution
- Visit the Lenovo Support page at https://support.lenovo.com.
- Select a product category by clicking the appropriate product tile.
- Enter the product name or four-digit machine type of your Lenovo server or product in the Search box. All products matching the entered keywords will be displayed.
- Select your server from the drop-down menu, and you will be taken to the Product Home page on the product support website next.
- The page contains a list of top articles, information on useful tools and resources, a section for relevant videos, and links to help you turn on product notifications or subscribe to an RSS news update feed. You can also check the basic warranty and reference information for your product.
- Click Parts in the left navigation menu and a list of compatible parts for the selected machine type will be displayed. This section includes information on which components were shipped with your product, a list of compatible replacement parts, and a schematic diagram of replacement parts.
- To find specific parts, click Select Commodity and select one or more commodity categories in the drop-down menu.
- A complete list of compatible parts for the system can be exported to an Excel file by clicking the Download Parts List button. Furthermore, you can also click the Purchase Parts link to connect to the Lenovo ISG Parts Sales website to search and purchase the parts if they are available from our preferred parts distributors in your region.

- Each component is listed with its device name, description, Part No, and serviceable level.
- The title contains the device description and the commodity type. Check if it is the part you’re looking for, and purchase the part using its part number.
- Click the View More arrow icon. The Serviceable column contains information about how difficult the part is to replace. For more information about the terms shown in this column, refer to the following articles: What is a Field Replacement Unit (FRU) service part and What is a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) service part.
- The title contains the device description and the commodity type. Check if it is the part you’re looking for, and purchase the part using its part number.
- If you don’t know what commodity type the parts belong to, select the Schematic tab, and the system diagram on the page can help you with product classification. For example, move the cursor over a part you are looking for on the diagram and the classification for this part is displayed. Click on the text (for example: SYSTEM BOARDS - BDPLANAR) or select that product category on the left navigation menu to view more information about the compatible parts.
- The As-Built page is only available after a serial number has been entered. This page displays a list of the parts installed in your product when it was shipped. Scroll down the page to check the parts or click the
button to download the parts list.
